FRENCH TWIST | BULIMBA

French Twist is a cafe located in Bulimba, Queensland. Close to the Brisbane City. It's not your typical bakery store/cafe located in the inner city surrounded by shops and loud noise. It's the complete opposite. Where you see a verandah laced with bougainvilleas and hanging vines in a quite neighbourhood. With French provincial chairs and tables laden filled with jars of fruit and yogurt and many plates of rustic bread with soft white eggs can found inside the little cafe. You can also see lots of fresh cakes, cookies, slices and of course freshly baked breads and baguettes on display.

French Twist is one of my all time favourite places to eat in Brisbane. It has a range of gluten free options and is vegetarian friendly too (Bonus)! Breakfast that morning for the two of us (my cousin & I) consisted of French twist signature brioche with blueberry & strawberry salad, grilled banana, salted caramel, house chia seeds, vanilla, blossom honey & berries ice cream, puffed quinoa and agave syrup other wise called the Berry Brioche French Toast. It was so yummy, but i advise you to only eat this meal if your super hungry, i didn't quite finish it.
My cousin had the sliced avocado, fresh tomato, marinated feta, zaatar dukkah, lemon and herbs with French Twist signature sourdough called Our Signature Avocado. I had a taste of it and it was pretty damn good!

The drink that I order was a fresh juice which you can make your own. It was all freshly squeezed -carrot, orange and ginger (yum)! So if you are ever in Brisbane or if you live in Brisbane, you must go and check it out! Those who love French pastries or have slight fascination, French Twist is the place for you!

LOCATION: 5 Corio St, Bulimba | TIMES: 7AM - 4PM  | PRICE: $$

JANUARY FAVOURITES

January is already over and  February has arrived and the days have been getting hotter and more hotter (the joys of living in Australia, #summerheatoverload)!
So, I  thought I would do a monthly favourites post! I haven't done a monthly favourite since August last year (forever ago, I know). But, one of my goals for 2016 was to do more of these types of posts every month! So, over the past month, I've tried a few new products, but only a certain few had made it onto my January Favourites!

+ Urban Decay, Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer - This was a new product that I bought, and its the best thing ever. I bought it in the shade fair Neutral and it has a really good texture and stays on my skin for a long time.Would have to be one of my favourite concealers ever.

+ Origins, Clear Improvement Active charcoal mask - This is another new product and would have to be one of my favourite masks that I own. My skin feels so soft and smooth after using it and I do not break out from it (bonus)!

+ BonBon Perfume, Viktor&Rolf - I got this perfume last year or two years ago for my birthday and is still one of my favourite perfumes that I still use! And yes I had to get another bottle from using it too much but what can I say, the bottle packaging is pretty adorable!

+ Nars, Orgasm Illuminator - I love using this illuminator every time I go out, its super easy to apply and it looks similar to the Orgasm powder blush in the package, but is not the same once applied. It is a sheer light bronze pink with shimmer, super good to use in the Summer months!

+ Anastasia Beverly Hills, Light to Medium Contour Kit - I am impressed by the pigmentation of the colours in this palette! The colours are very bendable and all of the colours are matte, except for Sand, one of the highlighting colours. Love using the shades Vanilla and Sand, best purchase I've every made!!

+ Benefit, Hoola Bronzer - BEST. BRONZER, EVER. Do i need to say anything more? It is a matte bronzing powder that does wonders to your face! It is very easy to build up, depending on the colour preference. It is well worth a check and the packing is beautiful too, I love the simple design!

So thats its! With new discoveries found this month as well as some of my favourites from my most loved brands, I hope you enjoyed reading my favourites this month! Let me know your January favourite's in the comments below - I am always on the hunt to trying new products!
